New Construction

A Construction Loan is a temporary interest only loan, usually up to 12 months given to assist homeowners during the construction phase. On conforming loan amounts, not exceeding $417,000, we lend up to 95% of the contract price for a Primary Home or 90% of the contract price for a Second Home. If the homeowner qualifies for less down, we will just submit financing for an appropriate loan. For example, if you qualify for an FHA loan you only need 3 ½% of your own money. The interest during construction is 6%, currently, and the future homeowner only pays interest on the amount of money drawn at predetermined stages of construction.
